Snapper Biting at Cronulla
SNAPPER, SNAPPER, SNAPPER....
Personal Best Snapper for Sheri Williams
This absolute beast of a Snapper was caught just off Cronulla last weekend in about 60m of water.
The very lucky angler 'Sheri Williiams' was VERY happy to be in the rod and confirmed it was by far a "Personal Best"!
With the reef not fished since June, it appears that the fish have forgotten what a hook looks like !!!! which is good for us !!!!!
Snapper may be found in a variety of habitats, including calm water bays, chaotic shallow water reefs, and surf beaches, as well as deep water on the continental shelf's edge. Anglers target snapper in a variety of ways and locations as a result of their adaption to varied environments. The techniques utilised in these various fishing environments differ significantly, but more crucially, the circumstances and peak feeding periods are also extremely diverse, implying that when and how we target fish in one habitat differs significantly from when and how we target fish in another.
