Weather Conditions + Confirming Charter

We will be in contact with you via TXT and EMAIL between 4.30pm - 5.30pm 'THE DAY BEFORE YOUR CHARTER' to let you know if the charter is Proceeding or Cancelled due to Weather.

WHAT TYPE OF FISH ARE WE LIKELY TO CATCH

Our Primary target species on this trip is 'Yellowfin Tuna'... although whilst trolling, we also pick up - Striped Tuna, Mack Tuna plus more.... it is a BIG ocean out there !!!

Current Fisheries rules for Yellowfin Tuna in NSW are | Under 90cm - 5 | Over 90cm - 2 | This is includes Albacore, BigEye and Longtail Tuna

Yellowfin Tuna - Fishing Techniques

We utilise SST (Sea Surface Temperature) programs which uses satellite technology to show us Ocean Temperatures, Ocean Currents and Upwellings.. This allows us to "Zone In" on the hot spots... Regarding equipment, we troll a variety of "Surface Lurers" and "Diving Lures" on Tiagra 30W and 50W overhead Shimano reels.

Yellowfin Tuna - EQUIPMENT + EXPERIENCE

Every Yellowfin Tuna trip is lead by Experienced fishing guides and skippers that have been fishing the waters off Sydney for 20+years. All Fishing Equipment, Bait, Licences, Safety Gear, etc, are all included... you just need to turn up Food + Drinks and appropriate clothing for the time of year...

FOOD + DRINKS

All fishing charters are BYO food + drinks... If you wish to bring Alcohol no worries although please bring CANS…. NOT BOTTLES... Please feel free to bring a small drinks Esky onboard that you can also use to put your fish in at the end of the charter.

CAN YOU KEEP YOUR FISH

Yes you get to keep what you catch… we also gut, clean and bag them for you to take home. ALTHOUGH we encourage people to only take what they are going to eat… We need to look after our oceans for the next generation...

WHAT TO BRING

You need to pack according to the time of year.... as a rule, we always suggest - Hat, Sunglasses, warm jumper (just in case) and wet weather gear if it looks like rain… If you want to bring your favourite rod along, please do..... Also, please feel free to bring a small Esky onboard for your fish at the end of the charter...
