Bluefin Tuna are a pelagic species and can be found in depths of 500 metres of water. The bluefin tuna is migratory and they travel vast distances. They travel in schools and can be found at the surface during certain times of the year. Bluefin tuna prey on fish, crustaceans and salps. Their predators are sharks, marine mammals and billfish. Seabirds are known to target them depending on their life cycle.
