Sydney Premium Charters Fishing Report

Fishing off Bellambi – Bit of a bumpy ride down today, but thank god the wind has backed us for us to head out deep sea fishing.

Took off from Gunamatta bay this morning at 5.30am for the 40 min trip to Stanwell park. Was cool but not too cold. Things started very slow along with some pretty strong current had us drifting at 1.5 knots so we decided to anchor…. After what seems like an hour up came our first lots of fish some small perch and red fish and one of the biggest stinkiest Pike I have ever seen, good sign though, we quickly held our breath and cut him up for snapper bait…. BAM a 48cm Snapper and then one after the other they came on board. Largest was 58cm, good fun, creaming reels and happy days.

In total we took home 10 snapper between 6 people but released a few undersized and just legals back to fight another day.
I have been working an area in close off Stanwell park of late and it’s been working well, today was a good snapper day but most days we get more of a mixed bag including Morwong, but saw no-one today.

Also to note we caught 1 single barracuta and that scared the S$%* ut of me but was only 1..

Some of the other boys did well on the sand with some Eastern Blue spot flathead a couple of 50 cm beauties and a gummy shark or 2 was also reported right in on the rocks..
